Here is a first look at the 11 people going to serve on the first team sent by Core4Life to Roblealto in Costa Rica. Learn a little bit about why they have chosen missions and how you can be praying for them. Chrysta Blechschmid – We are excited to have Chrysta join us for her second time to serve at Roblealto, she is a hard worker and dedicated to getting the job done. “This is my second trip to Roblealto. I am excited. With any mission trip, I am constantly amazed at what the Holy Spirit can do in a week. The team becomes family and we connect to the local community too. I love the fellowship and time dedicated to living out and sharing the Gospel. Roblealto provides an amazing benefit to Costa Rica. I have a lot of respect for the organization and it’s cool to be a part of their impact. I have a passion for serving abroad and connecting with people of different cultures. I’ve been all over the world and Costa Rica is calling me back. I’m excited to be at the Bible Home and spend more time with the kids, staff, and my fellow team members. I am also excited to be traveling with my mom and boyfriend this year!”

Pray for – Health and safety as we travel. I pray we have an amazing time and are adaptable and open to wherever the Holy Spirit leads.

Denise Blechschmid – This will be Denise’s 5th trip to Roblealto, she is a huge asset to the team, always working hard and pushing herself. “I have spent most of my adult life doing missions with my husband and family. It is important to show your children to serve others especially those in need. Roblealto holds a special place in my heart. The children are amazing. The love they show all of us is so overwhelming.  It is an honor to serve the LORD in this way.  I thank God for the opportunity to serve Him.”

Pray for – Our hearts to be open to God’s will, to hear His voice and follow where He leads us. Pray for the people of Roblealto. May God strengthen all who are blessed by their organization.

Josh Dujanovic– Josh is the “cheerleader” of the team, always taking the time to stop and encourage the team. “I am excited to be going back to Roblealto this summer to continue to build the relationships God has blessed me with, both with the staff and children!”

Pray for – My family at home while I’m gone and strength to be obedient in all that God calls us to during that week.

Jordan Latta – It’s Jordan’s first trip to Roblealto and we can’t wait to have him there with us! “There are two main reasons I want to go on this mission trip: love and learning. God has blessed me through my job and circumstances and I want to show His love to others who may be less fortunate. I also want to understand our world more. I’m excited to deepen my connection with my brothers and sisters in Christ to create stronger bonds and lasting memories.”

Pray for – Pray for the hearts and minds of our team. Pray that we will not lose sight of the reasons we are on this journey, and that we stay motivated for the right reasons.

Pray for the ministry of Roblealto. Pray for endurance for the volunteers and staff in Costa Rica, that they may be continually encouraged to keep up their awesome work. Pray that the kids will be able to see God’s goodness, provision and love, ultimately coming to know Christ and be transformed by the Spirit instead of succumbing to generational brokenness.

Jeff Sondej – Jeff is returning to Roblealto for the 4th time, he’s a big kid at heart and loves to make the kids laugh in any ways he can. “Roblealto holds a special place in my heart. Watching the children love on the ones who serve them is truly a blessing from Jesus. I will once again be praying HE allows me the opportunity to serve the kids at Roblealto.”

Pray for – One more blessed trip for all of us who serve in Christ.

Ryan Shary– Ryan is the calm to the chaos, always keeping the team focused on the mission and what is important. “I love Roblealto and the people of Costa Rica. I’ve seen God move in huge ways on previous trips in both the lives of our teammates and the kids and adults we’re going to serve. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for C4L Missions!”

Pray for: C4L Missions and how we can impact the world for God’s Kingdom

Scott Smith – This will be Scott’s 4th time returning to Roblealto. He shows his love to his teammates by being willing to speak truth about the hard things, bringing us all together as family. “I go on the trips for multiple reasons but two of the biggest ones are the closeness you build with the team and encouraging each other and sharing Jesus. The other is to see how God is working in other places and how much bigger than just us he is. I’m really looking forward to seeing the kids and playing and praying with them.”

Pray for: God to guide the Core4 and give them wisdom to navigate through this next chapter and to have a successful trip.

Jennifer Stanley – Jen’s love for the children of Roblealto shines the minute she arrives and her sense of humor and love crosses all cultural barriers. She loves the children, staff, and her teammates well. “I feel a deep pull to return to Roblealto in Costa Rica because my work there isn’t finished. The bonds I’ve formed have become family, and my heart still beats for the mission God placed before me. I’m not done loving, serving, and pouring into that community. I’m ready—more than ever—to go back.”

Pray for – I’m starting a new job (hopefully) and could use prayers for the transition. And prayers that the team is healthy and strong and can serve with everything God gave us.

Courtney Stennett – Courtney’s leadership by example and heart for Jesus keeps the team joyful and focused on what really matters. “The people and mission of Roblealto have a hold on my heart. The people of Roblealto are family and it feels like home the minute we arrive. I am in awe of how God uses the teams differently each time and I cannot wait to see how this team will be used to further His kingdom. I feel called to continue to serve them and live out the gospel to both the people of CR and my teammates.”

Pray for – The launch of  C4L as a non-profit, that this is just the first of many mission trips to bless others both locally and globally. That as a team we are working to glorify Him only.

Alyssa Trowbridge – Alyssa’s heart for others is evident when she stops to pray with them, she shows love to all those around her. “I am excited to live out my faith in a tangible way. I have seen the healing and love that the one true God brings in my own life. Roblealto serves the children in their programs and parents in practical ways that lead them to experience Jesus. I love immersing myself in different cultures and challenging myself to learn new skills. The relationships I’ve developed on our team and with the people of Roblealto are some of my most cherished ones. Our common values and love for the Lord make us family and it’s an honor to serve and care for those in need.”
Pray – that God blesses our trip and a lasting impact is made by the Core4Life Mission team.
