We’re excited to announce Core4Life Missions is preparing for our inaugural mission trip to Roblealto Child Care Association in Costa Rica!
Roblealto is a Christian, non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability in Costa Rica. Roblealto takes a holistic approach to provide care for at-risk children. Their mission is to foster loving and supportive familial relationships along with resources for parents and caregivers to achieve self-sufficiency for their families. Roblealto’s programs include four child care centers throughout San Jose, group homes, and an alumni group that empowers the youth graduates of their programs. Roblealto serves more than 962 children and adolescents and 652 families.
On this trip, the bulk of our time will be spent at Roblealto’s Bible Home. The children at the Bible home reside in a group home structure with the end goal of reunification of the child and family. While part of the program, intensive and individual treatment plans are created for the children and their off-site families. There is an on-site school and activity center in the mountains where children can learn and grow in a safe, God-centered environment. Roblealto’s Bible Home has a higher than 85 percent reunification rate.
Roblealto’s four child care centers are in place to supply familial support structures and seek to prevent separation of children from their families. A variety of supportive services are provided ranging from a team of child psychologists, transportation to educational institutes, social workers, nurses, and much more. Individualized treatment plans are created for the children and their parents. Parents are able to work or pursue employment while their children have a safe place to play, grow, and learn about God while being separated from the risks of gang violence and drugs on the streets of San Jose.
Our global partnership with Roblealto is based on many of our team members returning to Roblealto year after year. We’ve seen God do big things in the lives of our team members and the children and staff both in Costa Rica and northeast Ohio. We can’t wait to see what he has in store for our trip this year!
